Who doesn’t want to get better quicker? Can it really be done? Here are my thoughts on this book.
- Identify the 20% that drives impact and ruthlessly get rid of the other 80%.
- Who not how. Find someone willing to take the 80% away from you so you can concentrate on what matters.
- Focus on quality over quantity. It’s more process over results.
- Find ways to string 10x growths to keep accelerating and building impact. Afterall, 10x is about exponential (not linear) growth
- The book is written for entrepreneurs but the concepts are universal.
- Apply psychological flexibility – Ability to respond to obstacles successfully in ways congruent with our personal standards
- 10x becomes filter for everything one does. Makes you focus and change your mindset.
- 4C forumla – Commitment, Courage, Capability, Confidence
- We are all searching for two types of freedom: i). Freedom from (avoidance-motivated), ii). Freedom to (approach-motivated). 10X principle allows you to find more of the latter
- We all need to find out Unique Ability that we can continually develop our mastery. Good to ask ‘Who to be a hero to’ and what skill is needed to get there?
- Chronos vs. Kairos. Chronos refers to linear time; Kairos refers to moments that have unequal impact and significance. Better to focus on the latter
- Our impact is defined by measurement and leverage
- Gap vs. Gain. Move on from ‘Gap’ mindset and into ‘Gain’ Mindset
